Does anybody know how to make an effective Demo Reel for Storyboards?
Boards have always been a tricky medium in terms of presentation: not quite animation yet still not quite a still drawing.
My plan is to put some snippets from my best boards to music to get across my range of skill, but I’m afraid some of the context, emotional or otherwise, will be lost.
BUT the point of a demo reel is to get your skills across are quickly and effectively as you can, and I don’t think most hiring places will have the time to watch a whole 30sec-1min long animatic on one genre and another 30sec-1min for another genre.
Basically: 
Normally I’d just put my boards in one long still image, but my midterm in one of my classes is to created a moving demoreel with sound.
So basically: WHAT DO?

I saw some dramatic boards my friend Karina did, and I realized I needed some dramatic boards of my own for my portfolio.
Here’s a taste of things to come.
Woohoo! Finished this board project. A little rough around the edges and there were some shots that were a royal pain, but I’m pretty happy with it. Gonna add a few more scenes to it hopefully later.

More portfolio boarding stuffs.
Yaaaaaay, boaaaaaaards!
Trying to get stuff done for portfolios. Wanted to draw a scene with lots of emotions and range of expressions.
Some really rough tonal studies of a SUPER SECRET PROJECT I’m working on…well…not that secret…but it has to do with that WEBCOMIC I’ve had on hiatus for like two years now…might be ending soon…
To sum things up:
Working on some portfolio stuff and I made a little comp of some shading/toning tests I did awhile back.
COMPOSITION AND TONING IS HARD, YO’
Ah well, better to try and fail horribly than never try at all!
Comp studies of random scenes chapter 2 of that webcomic thing I’m still figuring out.
